On Town Tours you will venture through Amsterdam, traversing neighbourhoods that you are unlikely to see otherwise & pedalling through 800 years of history while being ever immersed in the present.

WE’RE GOING ON A CITY ROMP

This tour is a new twist on an old classic. Amsterdam is changing and we feel that the way that people experience it on bikes can too. Rather than limiting ourselves to a stock standard route, we give ourselves the freedom to venture as far and wide to wherever we feel would benefit each group. In a maximum group of 8 bike-a-neers sitting gloriously atop classic Dutch ‘townies’, you will be led through a range of Amsterdam neighbourhoods and parks & quickly become immersed in how cycling has come to be a fully integrated part of life here. At the same time, we’ll explain how the town has grown and changed over time, as well as how it continues to shift and what makes it tick.

Along canals and over dikes may you pedal & plunder.

Minimum 4 Bike-A-Neers required to run

    • Local City guide who knows a lil too much of A’dam

    • Guides choose the routes, however expect to see familiar & unfamiliar hoods.

    • Bottle ‘o’ Water & Poncho included Helmet Optional.

COuntryside TOur

Around 3ish hours / €50 pp (Adult Rate)

On Countryside Tours you will discover the beautiful and authentic farming land of a region called Waterland, north of Amsterdam. This tour will give you an incredibly deep appreciation of how so much of Holland has been reclaimed from the sea, and how the lands and villages surrounding Amsterdam have catered and contributed to the emergence of such a famous metropolis.

PREPARE TO BE NOORDED

This tour is our darling, a tour based on our own favourite thing to do outside of Amsterdam: cycling through the amazing countryside and nature reserves that abound beyond the city limits - in a region called Waterland.

In a maximum group of 8 bike-a-neers, we will take you cycling into the endless horizon of Amsterdam Noord (that’s Dutch for ‘North’ - it kinda rhymes with ‘Lord’, which is what you’ll be when sitting on your bangin’ steel steed). Together, we’ll venture through local green pastures and small villages, embraced by the peace and quiet of idyllic rural Holland. Natural bird reservoirs, windmills, quaint farmhouses and insanely beautiful biking paths all lay at the doorstep of this famous city and we are gonna’ take you there!

Private Town (City) or Countryside Tours are a great way for us to host your team builder, office get-together or friends day out while out on a bicycle looking like a local. A snack break/ drink break can be included in your package, so shoot us an email here if you’d love to inquire about rates.

Bike REntals

Additionally we (now) offer bicycle rentals from our Pirate Cove @ Buiksloterweg 9A2, see Picture above for example of our Bicycles.

Just shoot us an email to book your (Townie) bicycle for a maximum 6 hours rental for € 15, 2 locks & Helmet included.

Customers are advised to obey all rules of the road, heed to pedestrians at designated spots & not take undue & unnecessary risks on the bike lanes & roads of Amsterdam & it’s surrounds. Amsterdam Bike Pirates & its affiliates cannot be for any reason held liable for bodily injury, harm or death that may occur while on tour or using our bicycles in a public or private capacity.
